Nautical Postcards
A typographical brief which asked to choose a set of words or phrases and explore how they entered the English language. These postcards were created to depict the many words and phrases which originated from the days of seafaring. Postcards were chosen to present these phrases as they were coined and created whilst people were sailing all over the world, and then sent back with the sailors on their return. The phrases use classic serif typefaces in a vintage signage style, and the postcards were riso printed at Risotto Glasgow.
