Gestalte is an industrial design brand based in San Francisco, California. For their brand identity and communication Gestalte approached me to design a unique bespoke type family.

Our goal was to build a very precise and mathematical typeface, inspired by classic Swiss neogrotesks, but fresh and contemporary. Some of the features are:
• Horizontal and vertical strokes and terminals;
• Perfectly aligned terminals of glyphs like esa23569? and strokes of rft.

• Sharp shapes, such as t or z;

• Alternative Qayg;

• 7 weights;

The type family is meant to be used for printing on paper, products and screen. The brand logo is simply gestalte written in lowercase.
