Tears Dry Under Water - 2018

Tears dry under water a lose follow up from my previous short experimental film Ripples.
The piece had a very different beginning to any other film i have made or worked on, it began with the music. The sound I developed on a Roli Seaboard and I then let the music channel the story and used it for inspiration one what to film.
The film then took a voyeuristic approach, with stylistic lens whacking to warp the scenes using wine as a symbol of blood and even the hidden or muffled use of the key from Ripples
Like many visual art piece the story carries itself differently each time you watch it and in each setting.
It was first showcased on my 1960's cinema projection screen at Vivid Projects in Birmingham, with the key hanging seamlessly in front of the projection and surrounded by cut flowers, yet another tie in from Ripples.
Filmed on an iPhone 6s
