Syncra is a carbon cross country mountain bike I designed. This is also a breakthrough platform as Silverback was one of the first bicycle companies to offer a carbon 650b (27’5”) bike in 2013. The brief was to create a strong lightweight aggressive frame with fast flowing lines to suit both cross-country and trail riding. The frame profiles at the rear end are horizontally flared to increase comfort and shock absorption. Large oversize profiles at the head tube area ensure a stiff and direct feeling front end. Flowing lines and cut-aways were used to create a sense of speed and Flow.
