The heaven’s hosts shall all melt, the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll: all their hosts shall wither like the withering of a leaf in a vineyard and like a withered fig from a fig tree. (Yeshayahu 34:4)

Me’am Loez:

God will “roll” the heavens like a scroll, so that its hosts, the constellations become “melted” - the destinies of nations which had been foretold in the stars will be changed and reshaped and their astrologers will be unable to “read” the new signs. Those persecuting nations whose destinies were changed shall wither as a leaf on the vine. They shall rot fast after their fall, as the fallen fig rots very fast.

Rabban Gamaliel said: Just as when a man reads in a scroll of Torah and he rolls it, and again opens it to read therein and he rolls it together, likewise in the future will the Holy One, blessed be He, roll together the heavens like a scroll, just as a man spreads out his garment and folds it up and puts it on and renews it, likewise the Holy One, blessed be He, in the future will fold up the earth and again He will spread it out and put it in it’s place like a garment. Etc.
