French Scotty Marshall won with his “Coki Beach” cocktail made with BACARDĺ Ocho, toasted coconut syrup, lime juice, and allspice dram. Born in the Caribbean during a category 5 hurricane, his recipe was named after and inspired by his local beach.
“The name of my Bacardi Legacy Cocktail is Coki Beach, the location where my mother bathed daily with all ten and a half pounds of me kicking in her belly. When category 5 Hurricane Hugo came crashing ashore lifting large seafaring ships and dropping them in the middle of downtown streets, strafing the resort that my father managed and knocking out the newspaper that my mother edited, my parents knew that it was time to move on."
