The Mindful Capoeira Festival and Batizado is the New York Capoeira Center's flagship annual event, which brings capoeira practitioners and fans from around the world to New York's Lower East Side. Capoeira is a martial art disguised in dance, developed by enslaved Africans and their descendants in Brazil.
