Process
Designing for myself is never easy, so right at the beginning, the husband and I decided that we have been very into the botanical theme of late, and wanted to incorporate it into our wedding. I didn’t really want a tropical botanical, but more of a rustic, vintagey botanical look which I had to later convey to our vendors.
With that in mind, I first created an emblem for us, which was applied on our online RSVPs to our guests. Later on I designed a simple invite with copper foil hot-stamp printing for the important information, on 290gsm paper, as well as a map at the back for the guests to refer to and the accompanying dress code. A maroon envelop was used to respect the elders’ request for something red in the invites.

For the wedding favours, we didn’t want to do something cliche like what hotels tend to give out during banquets and wanted something more personalised. Hence we decided to print postcards with pictures that we have photographed ourselves. We both love photography and would like to share it with our guests! We then tied the postcard pack with twine and attached a synthetic leaf with the guest’s name written on it, which will also be used as a placard for the actual seat placement for the wedding dinner.
To complete the overall look, I also designed the photo template which will be printed at the photobooth for our guests to bring home! And finally the presentation slides that the guests will view on the projector screen throughout the ceremony and dinner also has the same design applied for consistency.
