Here is my book cover design that I submitted for the Adult Fiction section of the Penguin Student Design Awards 2018 which focused on visualizing George Orwell's infamous 'Animal Farm'.

For this brief I aimed to bring attention to the political and ideological commentary that the story is based upon without simply replicating the communist centered covers that have been made for this piece of literature. My angle was to show the the juxtaposition of the systems of the animals and the humans by how they reflect each other despite being different in nature. 

Here are the final illustrated designs mocked up on Photoshop to give an idea of the project would have looked like in a physical format. The only discrepancy is that the spine in this mock is much wider than the intended layout .

As part of the brief within the university we were challenged with designing a promotional aid for the book that would help sales in theory. I chose to create a animated book cover for eBooks and Amazon product pages to engage the audience with the themes I portrayed in the actual cover by adding motion. The animation builds itself and the book cover, while moving the textures.
