Danish Resistance Museum

The Danish Resistance Museum is located in north Copenhagen in a small building dating from the 1950’s on the grounds of Kastellet. The project was to create a new museum with a minimum of 75% of the program underground that uses both natural and electric light in defining spaces. This design is based on the idea of a seed underground moving to the surface and splitting the ground plane. This split allows natural light into the museum and also divides the different exhibits.
