This was a self initiated project designed to visualise the now commonly recorded Instagram trip, but instead illustrated! The entire series was actually never realised until I was recently invited to illu18, the biggest illustration festival in Western Germany.
After reworking several concepts I stuck to this one and illustrated the entire collection within 8 days.
The trip that inspired my work took place in the summer of 2017, starting in the woods of Southern Switzerland and meandering down through to Italy, along lake Maggiore, the coast of Tuscany, Florence and onto a small fisherman's village by the name of Castiglioncello. We spent two weeks on the road stopping at locations as long as we wanted before then heading on.
As this was my first big exhibition I want to say thank you to all the lovely people that showed up and/or were involved in this thing.
