Space of Contemplation

The users of this space are contemplating any type of obstacles they might be facing in life. With this obstacle they will engage with different materials, spaces, environments, and people to help then solve their problem.

This inhabitable space is based off of the materiality cube. The engagement of the two materials is important in displaying the previous form of the cube. In addition, the wooden stairs and bridge create the interior framework.

Furthermore, the engagement of spaces was created through the different sizes of each area. The spaces tended to vary from large to small. This aspect of engagement was reinforced by the light passages through window openings. The user was lead to spaces with openings that allowed the user to enjoy the landscape.

Completed in Fall 2010.
