Yahoo! is a global media company based in the United States that has an Internet portal, a web directory and a series of services such as the popular Yahoo! Its purpose is "to be the most essential global Internet service for consumers and businesses". It was founded in January 1994 by two graduate students from Stanford University, Jerry Yang and David Filo.
— Scandals In recent years, the brand has also been the focus of several scandals such as the top-secret electronic surveillance program PRISM and the Edward Snowden case.
— Decline. Information from 500 million Yahoo! It was stolen by hackers at the end of 2014. The data leak was revealed by Yahoo two years later, on September 22, 2016.
