Brexit Frustration Game

This typographic project aimed to explore the phenomenon of Brexit. Due to its highly charged political rhetoric on this topic, it often leaves itself inaccessible to younger audiences. To tackle this issue, I decided to bring some fun to the process and introduce the notion of Brexit as a game.
The rules of the game “Brexit Frustration” are based on another well-known game “Frustration”. The game playfully nods to what Brexit has become for many people; a real frustration from dealing with an uncertain future for the United Kingdom.
"Brexit Frustration" gives the opportunity for players to step on the side of the Brexit campaign “LEAVERS” or onto the side of those wishing to stay within the European Union “REMAINERS“.
The box included sixteen pawns representing citizens of the UK in four different colours; game cards with iconic characters of Brexit; six dice; cards explaining rules and six squares which combined create the game board for Brexit Frustration.
In addition, If you have friends or family members with strong opinions on Brexit, you can put their name on one of the blank cards and add these opinions to the deck.
The point of the Game is to get your citizens from the EU to the UK, or if you are strong “REMAINER” you can use your starting point as the UK and move your citizens to EU. The Game works in both directions. To start the game, you need to roll yes on the dice which is equivalent to number 6.
Thank You.
