This was a project was for a BYU-I graphic design class. For this project I was asked to list services and an improper noun, then pair them up and communicated the two ideas with one symbol. My three subjects ended up being Dragon Paramedics, Pirate Painters, and Llama Tree Service.

A key part of making these symbols was to keep things simple. 

It was also required that the symbols could only be in black and white.

Near the end of the design process I took a survey to how well my designs were communicating the two ideas. My first two symbols with the pirate and the dragon tested really well. The llama Tree Service didn't turn out so well. A tree ended up being a harder symbol to work with than I thought it would be because trees have so many meanings, and llama's are a little tricky to make recognizable with little detail; many thought the llama was a giraffe. I made refinements to the concept based on the survey's responses I think I found a good balance with my llama and tree symbol.

Overall I think this project was a success, as well as fun to work on, even though I may never want to work with llamas again...
