This Is my final piece, I first started with getting a good chunk of wedged clay and rolling it out. Once rolled out I shaped it into a circle. When I got the right shape, I scraped out watermelon seeds and added two watermelon slices that one fell off. I then added feet at the bottom and pot it up to be fired. Once fired I painted it with colors seen bellow.
My reflection on this piece is that I did pretty good, but it looks like I rushed through it. One thing I could have done better is scrapping the watermelon seeds better it looks very sloppy. But one thing I like about this piece is that it looks like a watermelon. Someone could look at it and know exactly what it is. But it was hard getting to get it flat because when it was just leather hard, and I tried putting on feet the middle kept falling
