The Invisible Wall

The Invisible Wall

Human beings have been living in cities for thousands of years and the percentage of people living in cities has been increasing day by day. The earliest cities developed in ancient times and people stayed in one place instead of having to move around to find food. The biggest jump in the history of urbanization occurred in the 19th century with the industrial revolution and people left their farms to work in factories in the cities. Cities has become bigger and bigger and they have changed the dynamics of life: They have robotized people and built invisible walls made of glass. The Invisible Wall is a photographic project aiming to show the aspects of urbanization and mechanization in the twenty-first-century İstanbul.
