Students were asked to consider structure and systems by investigating them in the abstract. To do this, we produced a series of 1/16” scale sketch models for the program that emphasizes each of the following components:

Planes: dividing, enclosing

Skin: wrapping, layering, enclosing

Frame: order, reference, metering,

Mass: Stacking, carving, solid/void
