Building a Mold
Using styrofoam slices and molding adhesives, the shape of the seat mold was extracted
First and second layer of fiber glass applied
to give support to the mold
Gel Coat used for easy removal of carbon fiber
Applying 3 layers of carbon fiber and vacuum sealing
Nose Mold
Vacuum bags were created and utilized to supply a uniform seal to the carbon fiber layout. The size and shape of the nose proved to be difficult to manage an air tight seal.
