In the fall of 2012, I took a class about Adobe Creative Suite. I quickly became proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. For our final assignment, we each had to make up a business and create five components to for the business’s brand development.

I chose to create a boutique for women named The Violet. I wanted all of my designs to feel fun and feminine.

First, I designed the logo. This was a very important design for me because the logo needed to be on everything so I wanted it to be unique and memorable.
Next, I designed the advertisement. I wanted to use the emphasis of the color violet. I wanted to incorporate the logo into the tag line of the ad.
I wanted to do a more unusual form of promotion. I decided to design a sticker/button that could be given out with purchases.
The brochure was the most difficult for me. I struggled most with the inside (2nd photo) because I unfamiliar with how to design the layout
Finally, we chose to design what the company website would look like. I wanted a simple style that would be easy to follow and stay with the monochromatic style.
