“…The spirit of the place inspired us to create a public sculpture that would put a mark on the boundary – the bank of Traunsee – between the small civic town and its magnificent natural surroundings. Instead of defining any limit or separation, it is rather meant to display the quality of one sphere that begins there from the perspective of the other (and vice versa)…The heavy mass of the sculpture is irresistibly binding. It stops you, cuts images out of nature and brings them to focus. These are essential elements: water, mountain and forest, all reflected in each other…”
