The Conservatory of Flower Faries

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE STUDIO PROJECT
ENERGY, FANTASY, & FORM, PROFESSOR CHIP SULLIVAN, UC BERKLEY

OBJECTIVE
Understand choreography of space and the power of storytelling by making a short animated film and then designing a landscape based on the setting of the story.

SOLUTION
A fanciful tale about a little flower girl at a rigid wedding and her magical escape.

CONCEPT
Fulfill every fantasy I had as a child about fairies in a compelling story that engages with and enlivens its setting at the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco.
The landscape design for the Conservatory of Flowers adapted from the setting of the animation that follows.
