Concept Art of Orgins

The Art of Origins
Origins is a SI-FI  coming of age story about a astronaut who is traveling though space to find her presumed dead mother. In her search, she finds a intergalactic humanoid  and their home-brew orphanage of star children.
Character Design
Initial design for the star kids. I drew these in early fall 2017 cause I really enjoy the concept of star shaped hair.
Silhouette Studies
first pass of the designs for the stars. While i do enjoy the characters designs themselves, the poses  seem a bit stiff and don't do them justice. So i decided to give them more movement in the next pass.
final Line up
Initial design for one of the main characters, The Divine.I created them with no intention of developing them a. Based off some of my favorite fictional  characters, The divine is everything basically look in a character : a strong yet loving leader who ,despite hardships,  can get though anythings.
Second passed of The Divine's character design. Personally, i still not 100 percent behind with this  design  and plan on improving on it more.  However, i feel like their design came a long way from when I first drew them.
UI Design
UI set
Even though my concept was intended to be printed graphic novel and/or animated series, i felt  that i could also translated in a format ,like a visual novel, that require UI to be create. I was a bit of a challenge for me because it was my first time with creating UI and I wasn't very excited. However ,I started to warm up to it when i approach as illustrations.
Environments & Map
Key Image
These were the first initial thumbnails of my final key image. I really wanted to the element of The Divine's  cosmic cape to shape the composition.
Value and color study of two of my thumbnails. However one of the main critique i got on that design is that needed to make the key image more spacious and use negative space seem in my pervious work  to my advantage.
