ETA, the seventh letter of the Greek alphabet with a numerical value of eight.
The Pandora’s Box, the box that is known to consist the seven deadly sins. Is there really just seven?

ETA; uses light and shadow to narrate the story from the Greek Mythology, Pandora’s Box. Pandora released the seven deadly sins into the world, but little did she know, she left the eighth evil – Hope, inside.

Hope, a double-edged sword, either the light at the end of the tunnel or the deceptive expectations to mankind. Hope in reality is the worst evil of all, as it prolongs the torments of the man.

Eight Boxes

Represents the seven deadly sins with the eighth evil

Aesthetics
Each box is made of plywood with a working door. On the surfaces, individualistic intricate patterns are laser-cut to represent each of the evil. The patterns are created in Illustrator.

Technical Aspects
Each box contains an Arduino, DC Motor, Wireless Module, LED bulb and a Pressure Sensor.
The boxes are programmed to be able to communicate with one another. In a case where one box is opened, it will trigger the rest of the boxes to turn on their LED light and start the light and shadow play.
