Designed as a mixed use space, Vert Tower of West Oakland serves as both a dwelling to its reserved groundskeeper and onsite scientist as well as a place for the public to connect to the skyline and discover the history of the site through an extensive Railroad History and Map Collection housed within. Vert, was designed to reflect and define the experience of each room as one moves throughout the tower with lines and edges that evolve into free-form shapes moving upwards toward the sky.
