DESCRIPTION: Naked Lunch is a book about one man’s experience with drugs and sex, it was banned in the U.S. for it’s over the top themes and disturbing scenes.

DESIGN: The Goal was to create a tasteful cover for a book with no boundaries. The books contents are out of order, so the reader can start reading from anywhere and the book will be the same. The author wanted the reader to feel as if they were being influenced by drugs themselves in all its spotty confusion. I decided to display this in the title itself by spreading out the letters and even jumbling some of them up to where it is barely legible. The pattern was influenced by psychedelic artwork and the fruit was a tasteful way to reference to the "facts of life."
