to me, the term bedroom artists encompasses the idea of creatively expressing what is inherently important to you in your own space. this video explores 5 auckland creatives doing cool stuff in their rooms and delves into the processes and experiences of what they do. this video highlights the value in collaboration, as well as celebrates and showcases their work as it is now; a time capsule.
ranging from high quality music production to using spoken word as a form of expressing and addressing social issues. bedroom artists are able to use different mediums and styles to portray their innovative ideas. the term ‘bedroom artist’ stemming from one of my own zines, is a celebration of people who are doing it for themselves and are all about having that d.i.y mentality.
