Behind The Design
California Roots is a music festival that contains many ska, beach dub, rock, and reggae bands. They wanted a fun t-shirt for their festival. I tried to make this shirt scream California and music as much as I could. I took a Volkswagen van and put a bunch of bummer stickers of logos of the bands that were performing at the festival. Along with more stickers that showed off California. There are instruments packed in the van to show it’s a music festival. Plus the driver is the state animal (bear) and the otter is a common animal to see in California. I trying to go off Slogan (Cali artist) style for this design. For the beer cans and the words, “Just Got Tickets To California Roots”, it was to play off the “Just Got Married” idea.
