4 Fields of Color: Ancient Art, Yellow, Indigo...

Installation to accompany architect, Peter Zumthor’s proposed design for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Color research began in the galleries of the museum, with Christina’s own archive, and personal memories. The installation included dosa’s collection of textiles, and silks naturally dyed by Adiv in Mumbai, India, using discarded temple offerings of flowers and coconuts, creating 94 unique colors. The 199 pieces each had an interior garment of lace and muslin creating a shape reminiscent of both vestment covers and traditional Korean women’s overcoats.
