Papermaking vs Assemblage

To recognize non-verbal communication and the relationship between imagery and texts and the function of both. To consider ideas of semiotics and how signs can become vessels for communication and also how that can be incorporated into a body of artworks. 
To consider the relationship between text, imagery, sound or even movement and how that can be interpreted by audiences differently.
To be aware of the relationship between the signifier and the signified and how that can be read in works. To look at icons and symbols (also ideas of icons and symbols) and also to consider all of these in cultural and regional contexts. To demonstrate the broad spectrum of approaches, intentions, styles and choice of materials.
To establish a mode of communication and develop a range of exploration as a significant methodology with the working partner. Through form, text/script, illustrations, images, sound and movement, the experimentation and exploration could be physical, visual, psychological and/or metaphysical.
