Somnambulant images

I read somewhere a long time ago that Salvador Dali would resort to an interesting technique when running dry on inspiration. It said the artist would take a nap on his couch, holding a big metal spoon in the hand closest to the edge of the couch. As he would drift to sleep, many diffuse images would flash before his eyes, and as he would be just about to drift off, his grip on the spoon would loosen and the crash of metal on the tile floor would wake him. He would then quickly note any images that came to mind.

I often find I have a plethora of strange, sometimes morbid unsolicited images flash before my eyes as i drift to sleep. This month, my plan is to capture each in a quick sketch/drawing which i will then share here, The idea is to present the images as close to what i see, without editing for artistic effect (too much) or censoring the content. The day by day images are on my facebook page. The images posted here are finished versions.
