Red Hook ended up as a nice break from the first and more hectic half of our 20 day trip to New York. But the peculiar atmosphere of Red Hook was not the kind I had in mind for asking Georgia to marry me. Red Hook looks more like a ghost harbor town. But I totally understand why its the up and coming place for tired yuppies, photographers and europeans.
