2018-2019 Alamo City 1836 Uniform Lineup

San Antonio, Texas - On March 6th, 2018 Alamo City 1836 released their home uniform for the 2018-2019 IFA Season. The kit sponsor for this year is San Antonio's Tricentennial Commision. The them for this year's release is, "A shirt 300 years in the making". The team will also be releasing a Fiesta SA medal in the near future to coincide with the San Antonio Fiesta Festival which runs from April 19-28, 2018. 

The inspiration - The city flag of San Antonio was chosen for the main element of this year's kit. Rather than have a sash that placed one color above the other or left itself to needing to be split to allow the sponsor logo to be seen more clearly, the chest stripe fir perfectly. The unifying feature is both the city and the team by placing the Alamo City badge and the city's 300th anniversary at the center of the shirt. The socks are all white with Davy Crockett taking pride of place on the front of the socks. 

The Lone Star Kit - The sash is removed for the chest stripe which imitates the city flag of San Antonio with the Alamo City logo replacing the Lone Star/Alamo design. The tricentennial scroll used on this year's kit continues to have pride of place atop the Alamo and Davy Crockett. Marcus Rashford of Lea County FC was asked to assist in the release and was happy to contribute during their last visit to San Antonio. Raheem Streling also shows off the home kit which will make it's 2018 debut on the field on Matchday 35. The light blue home keeper's kit has the Mission Concepcion sublimated behind the SA 300 celebration logo. Each keeper kit color will have a mission assigned to it in honor of the UNESCO designation of the missions as historical sites of the highest order.

The Azteca Kit - On June 20th 2018, Alamo City 1836 released their alternate uniform for the 2018-2019 IFA Season. The kit is designed to represent San Antonio's sister city in Mexico, Guadalajara and AC36's sister team, Atlas FC. In addition to the split half design, the seal of the city of Guadalajara is placed at the back neck of the jersey. This year's uniform features two separate sets of shorts and socks as well in case of kit clashes throughout the season. 

The Tenerife Kit - For Alamo City's last reveal of the year, we knew it needed to be big. So we called in a few favors to the mayor's office and he knew a couple people who were just the right ones to roll out the third kit. King Felipe the VI and his wife, Queen Letizia of Spain were on hand to reveal our new third shirts. The Spanish royal family visited San Antonio over the weekend of June 16th and was presented with the 2018-2019 Las Palmas San Antonio Heritage jersey among other decorations from the city as well as the state of Texas. The yellow body represents Las Palmas, Spain, the traditional location cited as the original home of those that settled Mission San Antonio de Valero in 1718. The Tenerife coat of arms is included on the anthem jacket and prematch jersey as that area of Spain provided some of the first settlers and priests to colonize Eastern Texas. The shirt pattern is meant to slightly resemble the pattern used on the Spanish national team home uniforms at USA 1994 which held games at the Cotton Bowl of Dallas among other locations. The socks carry a version of this pattern as well on the outside of each pair.
