Veeloo | Concept Smart Bike Navigation

A new smart bike navigation 'Veeloo' with the aim of making cycling as pleasant as possible. Your existing bicycle and your smartphone are connected to each other and this provides a unique experience while cycling. This concept has an app and a smart external display on the bicycle handlebars. My system has an extra function: challenge mode. In challenge mode you can challenge other users of the application. Cycle the fastest time on a route from another user and dominate as the fastest cyclist on this route. This creates a point system and a virtual race between different users.

Map: A standard GPS system for the bicycle. You get points depending on your cycling performance.

Challenge mode: Challenge other users of Veeloo by cycling their traveled route faster. You get points depending on your cycling performance.

You: Stay informed of the activities of your friends.

Sport: An overview for yourself of your sports data. There are also some challenges and a level of your account.

Smart Bike Navigation System Design

External display on the bicycle handlebars

This external display on the bicycle handlebars is connected to the app via bluetooth. This way, data such as the location can be recorded. The navigation is done according to a 'turn-by-turn' system. The display has a simple map that moves as you go. Your location is always in the center, making it simplistic. Only the road you have to travel is shown and the speed. This is to keep it as simple as possible so that you are not distracted from your environment. So it is not possible to make phone calls, listen to music, etc. The system is only in black and white. Your location can take a green or pink color. Map is green and Challenge mode is pink.
