My 2018 Creative Residency application

Creative Residency application
For my application to the 2018 Creative Residency by Adobe I pitched the creation of a starter kit for young students that want to create short term online content.
Having worked on multiple video projects during my school time, I noticed that even though the demand for video and creative professionals is rising, education is not up to the task yet. Young people, that want to get started in the creative field, aren't prepared properly in school and have to rely on old online courses. I want to change the way schools educate their students in media creation and help students gain experience to find the right place for them in the creative community.

Recent projects I worked on at school

This piece of shareable short form content was conceptualized, shot and edited in less than 48 hours. Even though it's not that hard of a project, not many young students would be able to create this on their own.

As a group we worked on many different projects and interviewed the german handball team, tv moderators, politicians and musicians. These kinds of experiences are very helpful for young students that want to work in a creative field.

Collaboration and working under not so ideal circumstances (e.g. at events, concerts,...) can be learnt the best by doing so. Giving young students the opportunity to start their career in school, together with their classmates, is therefore very important.

Because of that I want to share my experiences and insights in my year of the creative residency. Furthermore I plan on creating an toolbox for all aspiring young creatives that want to get started with video creation. Providing royalty free music, templates and tutorials will help them, to start their career way easier then they can today.
