Architectural Draping Project:
Graduate draping project where one requirement was to construct an architectural garment that does not represent the natural body silhouette. I used various specially mesh, with plastic boning, to achieve the lift and shape of the garment. Inspired by the ribbon bow's general shape, enlarged and then transposed onto a body. Autumn 2015 line, Look 1:
Inspiration: The main inspiration is on a casual punk fashion incorporating knits and plaid. Sweater: A knitted denim color sweater that I did on my knitting machine, then cut and sewed it together. It features a cabled strip in a harness style design. I got the inspiration after seeing some harnesses and noticing that the areas where they extend to can be used for shaping instead of darts. The yarn is an acrylic 2/24 ply yarn and three strands of it, with a twill / speckled denim colored yarn. The cabled sections are done in a similar combination of yarn, but with a solid denim color strand mixed in. Pants: Using the personal slopers I developed, I made a standard fitted plaid pants with pockets that I pattern matched.
Autumn 2015 line, Look 2:
Inspiration: The main inspiration is on a casual punk fashion incorporating knits and plaid. Scarf: The blanket scarf features one of my most favorite knit designs I developed on my knitting machine. It is 1 strand of acrylic 2/24 yarn as the main color and the same type for the contrast color. It is done on a Brother 965 with a ribber bed and double bed color changer to produce a multicolor jacquard. Jacket: The jacket is a simplified double breasted jacket that features no lining and only facing for the inside and a single kick pleat in the back. Pants: The pants features a design based off from Pattern Magic books by Tomoko Nakamichi. It has plaid fabric and features a side seam welt pocket. It also has a vent on both sides of the hem for easier wearing.
Autumn 2015 line, Look 3:
Inspiration: The main inspiration is on a casual punk fashion incorporating knits and plaid. Jacket: A motorcycle inspired jacket with cabled trim in the shape of a harness or a union jack flag. There is also a pintuck denim color knit panels sewn ontop of each cap of the sleeve, inspired by the quilted effects seen on some motorcycle jacket. Knitted on my brother 965 machine with 3 2/24 acrylic denim colored yarn for the trim areas and 2 2/24 acrylic denim yarn. Shorts: For the kiltshorts, it features a 100% plaid wool, pleats that form a regular shorts pattern into a kilt look and welt pocket on the inside of the top flap.

Undergraduate Senior Line:
Consisted of a few garments. 1. Red autumn poncho: Shaped on the knitting machine with gathered i-cord sides. It also features an undershirt that has some knitted paneling. 2. Spring inspired faux fur jacket. The faux fur was synthetic yarn that was knotted, steamed, combed, ironed, and hand sewn onto the collar of the jacket. It consisted of three different types of yarns with different hues of green.
