"Dhwani" is an interactive sound installation project.
An attempt to make a space installation where user is treated visually by the beautiful sound visualization patterns generated on water medium and is interactive with the position of user in the space.

INSPIRATION
The initial idea was generated from study of "crop circle" patterns and its explorations.Further study of "cymatics" and "Chladni experiment" helped in structuring the project.
WORKING
Here different sound visualization patterns on a water medium are generated according to the movement of user in the space. The proximity sensor is the link between the user and the prototype. A sine wave is generated from the speaker whose frequency varies with the distance of user from the prototype.This variation in sine wave results in generation of beautiful patterns on water medium creating a visual treat for the user.

Design Inspiration
Inspired from the state of mind and an attempt to visualize it through a shadow show.
Three states of mind considered here like passive ,less active and active states.
Here the shadows are metaphorically related to visualization of states of mind.
Here when the user enters the room(space), the state of his mind is being visualized in the form of his own shadows.
Passive state of mind : User tends to make negligible noise and received with one shadow.
Less active state of mind : User tends to make a bit of noise as he enters and received with three shadows.
Active state of mind : user tends to make a lot of noise as he is more energetic and received with five shadows.
This design project is purely made with artistic intention and expressing the artist views through Interactive installation.
Working
The shadows are controlled by the light sources. Which in turn is connected to the sound sensor and computer with the help of Arduino.
