The purpose of this project is to design a low income multi generational apartment complex, which includes a daycare, within the confines of a historic structure located at the corner of E. Broad St. and E. 39th St. in Savannah, GA. Elements of universal design were considered to allow the units to be designed for aging in place. This project should also become a catalyst for the revitalization of the neighborhood by providing defensible space; as well as bringing a new sense of community to the area.
