A GHOST STORY
Misfits is a serialized work of fiction. It's a ghost story and is available free for your listening pleasure. Due to descriptions of the grotesque and brief language, this is a story intended for a mature audience.
My creative process for this project was to first, write the story. Next, I selected the bumpers (the music that goes in the beginning, middle and end) of the episode. I then recorded the intro and the outro. Once those tasks were completed, I recorded a voice performance of the episode. I did several takes- and though it isn't my usual practice, opted to attempt to capture the perfect take instead of editing a bunch of different comps together to form "one" performance I was happy with. The last thing I did, with regard to the podcast, was to edit together the intro, the music, the bumpers, the voice performance and the outro.
After I did all of the above for the first and second episodes, I made the artwork. This time, I played episodes I and II, respectively and the accompanying music while I made it. I like to do that; I find it appropriately inspiring.
