Beauty within and beauty without, we are all ashes. In several of my portraits I like to use a black backdrop and from that darkness comes the beauty of my subject. Sometimes it's a smile, sometimes it's a gesture, and sometimes it's love in their eyes. We are all humans and we all cast a shadow.
