Project Description:
We were given the task to redesign Amtrak’s website to make it more user friendly. While we were in the process of making our designs in class, Amtrak actually came out with a new website, so I guess they realized the need for the redesign as well! My project reflects much of what the new website does as it focuses on the actual purpose of the website– buying train tickets. The reason most people visit this website is to buy train tickets or see a schedule, so it made sense to make that the focus of the website. All other information someone might need about Amtrak is in the navigation. For a color scheme, I used Amtrak blue and its complementary orange.
