Chicken Express 

Chicken Express is a fast food restaurant that was founded in 1988 in Benbrook, Texas, and the first restaurant was opened in Mineral Wells, Texas, that same year. Chicken Express was founded on having a drive through or as the franchise calls it, “delivery”. Their first slogan was “our chickens can’t fly, so we deliver.” The word deliver refers to drive through. I wanted to play off of how they were founded to be fast and the word delivery. So for the logo, I made a chicken bullet symbol to represent how fast they are. I also wanted to gear the brand more toward a younger audience (16-year-olds and up, and families are always welcome). I did this by making the brand more vibrant in color but modern in type and style. I used the halftone as an unexpected element to add a younger more modern vibe to the brand.
