Catcher in The Rye

The book, The Catcher in The Rye, is about a sixteen-year-old boy, Holden Caulfield, who gets kicked out of his boarding school and heads home to New York City three days early before Christmas Break. This book is about Holden’s three-day journey around New York City before going home to face his parents. Holden is an extremely lonely and depressed individual. The result of this book sleeve and book cover was to capture his loneliness in the big city but to also show his fantasy with childhood innocence with the rye in the background.
