I was very happy to create this illustration for the legendary Forum Gallery in New York City.  The last time the gallery moved, their postcard was illustrated by my hero Bob Gill, so this was a huge honor for me to take on.

The gallery mainly showcases painting and drawing, so I wanted this to be handmade.  I did this in my two phase process, where I use a lightbox to produce two identical drawings.  Then I ink one and paint the other, and when they are dry, scan and combine them digitally. 

I inked this with Sumi ink and brush, and painted it with gouache.
