This brief challenged me to create a magazine pull-out on a subculture of my choice. I chose to explore BDSM as a subculture, and create my work based on themes of BDSM. This encouraged me to keep my work quite dark, with tones of grey and white, which gave it a '50 Shades of Grey' feel. The images I have used are suggestive, but not explicit, and are very tonal, making some almost seem distorted, or unclear as to what they are, which makes them all the more interesting. The simplicity of this booklet is what makes it work, with the text wrapping around the images, so that they are still just as prominent and striking with the text present.
