Visuals for an online tool

-
This project is done while I was partner and UX/UI Designer at Frontwise

Project: Frontwise for TenCate visit portfolio here
My role in project: 3D Art for presentation and UI Styling
An online software tool that helps you tell stories through an interactive medium.
The product is developed at Frontwise in collaboration with Jam - Visual Thinkers. It helps Your designs, photographs or sketches come alive on the web in a way that was not possible before. Through hotspots the user is invited to explore the different layers of your content. For this project I created 3D renders that are used in the marketing of the tool.

Exploring Styles and creating the scene
A city seemed like a good starting point explain the potential of the tool. A city gives the feeling of overview, exploration, levels of detail and is an inviting place to wander around. The scene and artworks are created in Cinema 4D.
Unexpected surprises
While exploring it is nice to encounter unexpected surprises. The forrest scene can be found on the laptop screen that is in the office. This playful adventure helps to illustrate the endless zooming possibilities.
Explaining the use
With the tool you can add text, overlays, highlights and videos to your images to convey meaning and context. This small video is created to show how a visitor can explore the city.

Visualising the potential
With the product you can easily overlay images and let the user control the transition. This way you can show the story behind the product, the interior in the house and reveal your design processes etc. These images explain the potential of the tool.

In Action
Here you can see how the images are used as an example in the tool. The style and imagery uses bright colours and different levels of complexity to create curiosity. The user is basically invited to take a look.

Explaining the technology
This small video loop is created to explain how the technology behind the tool works. When you upload your high-resolution images the product seamlessly breaks them up into small parts at many detail levels.
