Before I graduated, I had the opportunity to intern at Digitaria. As a UX/Web Design Intern, I was assigned to do "any goddamn thing" (words from the director who interviewed me).
I quickly found that true. From content audits to wireframing, I was pulled towards the efforts of many projects in the design agency. Finally, my supervisor directed me to a project on the company''s expense reporting system and initiate revamping the current system.
I conducted user interviews and collected documents related to it. Then I created models and flow charts of the current process, which led me to create a new sequence model for the proposed system. I finally made mockups of the new system and presented to the director.
It was an amazing opportunity to work closely with design professionals and I accrued a wealth of knowledge from user experience designers in that company.
