Cinnk Magazine | Illustration and Art Direction
Cinnk Magazine is a french publication aimed to create a space of expression where people can discover points of view, share experiences, expand their vision of the web and its relationship with Joomla! .
Joomla! is one of the most popular website softwares, thanks to its global community of developers and volunteers, who make sure the platform is user friendly, extendable, multilingual, accessible, responsive, search engine optimized and so much more. This issue of the magazine was especially made for the Joomla World Conference 2017 which took place in Rome.
What i really love about this magazine is that , besides the informative part of it, it is introducing graphic design in the world of developers and web lovers.
Cinnk is usually written in English and French, but the novelty of this issue is that its added an Italian version to it as well, which you can read staring from the back, by turning the magazine upside down. The challenge was to create two illustrations for the front and back covers, that communicate with each other. I used elements that tell the story of the city of Rome in a minimalist manner. At the meeting point of the two different versions, I made a special illustration with two mirrored columns to create that idea of turning the magazine upside down.
