I am from Minnesota and of course like your typical Minnesotan, I'm obsessed with my state. Anything Minnesota related and I go crazy, it could be a t-shirt, patch, magnet, any of the touristy crap you find at our amazing attractions. So I decided to design my self a poster that has everything I love about this state in one.
These are close ups of some of my favorite illustrations in the poster. The Minnesota Zoo logo designed by Lance Wyman and the 3M logo designed by Siegel + Gale are huge inspirations to me as a designer. Also shown is a loon, fish scales to represent the fishing culture, corn, spam, and split rock light house.
For fun I made different colored variations of the poster just to give some variety and also each poster has different illustrations that stand out more or less depending on the color scheme. This is a culmination of all my favorite things about Minnesota and also the things that make me proud to live in this great state.
