ICEBERG
Table
Exploring 3D Milling technology, we came up with the idea to develop a product that can be used to present food when being served; trying to challenge the limits of the machinery. Therefore, we decided to inspire ourselves in the irregular shape of an iceberg, geometrazing its forms and conceiveing an asymmetric and irregular product; appealing and only reproducible through the use of CAD CAM tools.
As inspiration, we used the asymmetry and irregular shapes of an iceberg.
The table counts with two independent parts, allowing the user to explore different possibilities to serve food.
To ensure the piece has good detailing, we used a compact wood allowing to generate unique shapes.
However, other materials can be used to generate contrast between the different parts of the product.
